When our finite life on Earth comes into focus, we immediately start thinking differently about our lives and how we are living them. Is this truly our own path?
Interestingly enough, today I was reading the “the Camino will provide” section in The Purpose Code book of yours, Jordan, where you discuss the tools we have in our toolbelt. The way I interpret it is that when we are truly on our own path, the path itself will provide the resources we need.
So why are we waiting instead of stepping onto the road?
I wonder if the FIRE terminology plays a role here. I can certainly get behind the FI part, but financial independence doesn’t necessarily mean retiring early.
In my case, once I discovered the FIRE movement, my mindset became reach FI, then retire. It took me a while to broaden that thinking and separate the two.
Samantha was excellent. Totally nature and needs to start her own podcast. FI is about living for today. Its just hard to get there after being trained to save for tomorrow
