I participated in a coaching program with Rose! She’s amazing! Thanks for writing this feature

This is so powerful! “Money is just a tool, but we treat it like the goal.” So many retirees keep the chef’s knife locked away and never use it, saving it for a “later” that may never come. I like the countdown idea. My mom is in her mid 60s and loves to travel. She only takes one big trip a year and I’ve been encouraging her to go more often and spend more of her money. I pointed out recently that at this rate she may have only 10 destinations left. She was shocked but took it to heart. We are on our first of several trips this year right now.

What app would you use for the countdown timer? What a great idea!

I’d never heard of a death doula, and I love the idea.

I write and speak about meaning. I like to invite people to imagine themselves as they will be when they’re quite elderly, and to imagine looking back on their whole life. What will have mattered most? Are they prioritizing those things now? It’s a clarifying thought exercise.

"On her 40th birthday, she set a countdown timer on her phone to her 85th birthday."

Not going to lie, the above quote kind of shook me. At first it seems like a fantastic idea but I honestly don't know how my perception of time would be impacted (for the better or worse).

With that said, am I going to do this myself? Maybe...still processing the idea.

I highly recommend the book Fpur Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals. It will change your whole perspective!
