When I talk about purpose, it often feels theoretical to some. I dive into the difference between "little p" purpose—process-oriented and tied to the day-to-day—and "big P" purpose, the grand, audacious, goal-driven kind. But too often, these ideas can feel abstract, like something we think about rather than something we truly live.
Today, I want to share what little p purpose looks like in real life—how it shows up in my life.
If you’re here because you listen to personal finance or self-help podcasts, you may already know that yesterday, January 7th, marked the launch of my book, The Purpose Code. Over the past six months, I’ve been preparing for this day. I’ve recorded 80 to 90 podcasts, written countless articles, given webinars, talks, and attended conferences—all leading up to this moment.
Maybe to you, that sounds overwhelming, anxiety-inducing, or like an impossibly heavy workload. But for me, it’s the exact opposite.
I love talking about these concepts. I loved writing this book. I love showing up on podcasts to share my ideas, giving talks, engaging in webinars, and attending conferences. This is the work that lights me up. This is how I want to spend my days.
This is me, living my little p purpose.
So when you hear about The Purpose Code, when you listen to a podcast and hear my voice, or when you stumble upon an article I’ve written, know that you’re witnessing what living purpose looks like for me. It’s not theoretical. It’s real.
And now, I’m thrilled to share the product of that purpose with you: The Purpose Code.
While this post reaches you on January 8th, I’d love for you to join me in celebrating the launch of my book. Grab a copy. Read it. Reflect on the ideas. After all, these are the same concepts that brought you to this Substack—the ones that spark conversations about how purpose can transform our lives.
This is what purpose looks like for me.
Now, I hope The Purpose Code inspires you to explore what it can look like for you—to see purpose not as something theoretical but as something abundant, real, and fully within your reach.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for letting me share this moment with you. Let’s celebrate purpose, together.
With gratitude,
Jordan
